Wawona® Dining Room

Wawona Dining Room
The Wawona Dining Room is well-known for its culinary excellence. Chef Robert’s cuisine delivers an array of seasonal specialties as well as traditional favorites. Sit back and savor the Pot Roast which has been a long time Wawona favorite or enjoy fresh Trout or a sumptuous grilled Flat Iron Steak.  And, your stay at Wawona will not be complete until you sample the award-winning signature White Turkey Chili served at lunch which has been featured in three cookbooks and on the National Turkey Federation website.

The room itself is traditional Victorian but with a rustic flare. Hand-painted hanging lights, featuring pictures of giant sequoias, are strung with small sequoia cones and cast a warm glow throughout the room. On warm summer nights, the Veranda adjacent to the dining room is a classic spot to enjoy Wawona's sumptuous fare. Cocktails can be enjoyed by the fireplace, on the veranda, in the beautiful Guest Lounge and on the lawn while relaxing in one of the inviting Adirondack chairs.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served daily when the hotel is open. Classic western-style outdoor barbeques take place in summer on Saturday evenings and special Sunday brunch menus are offerend for select holidays such as Mother's Day or Easter . For reservations call (209) 375-1425.

Testimonials

“Today marks the day that my parents would be married for 69 years.  They married in 1940 and honeymooned in Yosemite staying in a cottage that was at the base of Yosemite Falls.  Our family’s love affair with Yosemite began with my mother’s parents coming to Yosemite for their honeymoon in 1913.  All my parent’s children have spent a part of their honeymoon in Yosemite as well, thanks to a gift from our grandmother.  Yosemite will forever be a place of grandeur, beauty and sweet memories for my family.  Though my father is not here to mark this special day in his life with my mother, we still remember that a beautiful young couple came to Yosemite 69 years ago to celebrate the beginning of their many devoted years together.  We are forever truly grateful for all that Yosemite means to our family.”
